Inflammation is your body’s natural defense and repair response. When you get a cut, an infection, or even exercise hard, your immune system sends white blood cells and nutrients to protect and repair. That’s called acute inflammation, a short burst meant to heal and then shut off once the threat is gone.
But when your body never gets a break from stressors like toxic foods, poor sleep, chemicals, or infections; that protective response never turns off. The same immune messengers that are supposed to help you heal stay active 24/7. Over time, this becomes chronic inflammation, which silently damages your cells and tissues.
As your immune system keeps fighting, it releases reactive oxygen molecules (free radicals). If your body doesn’t have enough antioxidants to neutralize them, this turns into oxidative stress; a type of internal “rusting” that damages your DNA, cell membranes, and mitochondria (your energy factories). This is the foundation of most chronic diseases we see today; heart disease, diabetes, autoimmune issues, brain fog, fatigue, and even hormone problems, and more.
HOW IT HAPPENS
• Processed food & sugar spikes cause constant immune triggers and blood vessel stress.
